Intro: Everything But...

Some time ago, it seems like music got to a place where it was about everything except the music. DVDs, Youtube vids, blogs and the like seemed to grow more popular than the music that gave the respective artist the leverage to create the former. I'm not one who thinks music has hit rock bottom (to the contrary, I think music is growing in many ways right now if you know where to find the good stuff), but I do think that distractions have manifested within, throughout and all around the artform. With that said, I dont expect to get too crazy with this thing and I have no particular plans regarding how regularly I intend on posting, but I did want to re-hash my blog as a supplement platform to whatever I already have in place. My original blog on the now defunct The Corner message board was followed and well-received by a fair number, so we'll see where this one goes.
